About:
About: From September until Decembert 2023 I was managing the project The Green Tracks in the Strategic Management Office of Tallinn City. The project is part of the Tallinn European Green Capital 2023 programme, the project’s goal is to improve the quality of green spaces (plant urban meadows, food forests, etc.) and to use the methods of tactical urbanism and citizen inclusion to improve spatial quality in some problematic locations all over the city. Project partners include Estonian Architecture Association, Estonian Art Academy and many (landscape) architects who were involved in over 60 activities and spatial interventions made all over the city, many carried out by private companies and NGOs. Two of the projects that are featuring in this portfolio were designed by my colleague Ann Kristiin Entson and me.
As the head of project I was involved with budgeting, project management, media activities, presenting the projects in various media channels, organising community workshops, presenting projects to the politicians of the city government etc. To assess the results of some of the experiments we commissioned the Stockholm Environment Institute - Tallinn to carry out a anthropological study of the use of space, the effectivness of the interventions and how the situation is perceived by the users.
